Mason’s Glove: Know who the TikTok phenomenon is

Receive! If you’ve used social media in recent weeks, you may have come across this catchphrase that went viral by Luva de Pedreiro, a TikTok phenomenon that won thousands of followers with its goals and catchphrases. Always thanking God, the 20-year-old from the interior of Bahia quickly conquered Brazil (and who knows, even the world).

Iran Ferreira lives in Quijingue, a city more than 300 kilometers from Salvador and started posting videos in 2021. It quickly exploded on TikTok, today with more than 10.4 million followers and 106 million likes. Its success has also reached other social networks. On Instagram, the young man now has 7 million followers.

Its popularity even went outside of Brazil. Luva de Pedreiro had his catchphrase used by the son of football star Cristiano Ronaldo, who imitated the Brazilian phenomenon in a video. Iran also appeared in actions by Bayern Munich and was quoted by several pages around the world.

Mason’s Glove

This week, the young man’s success took him to Rio de Janeiro. Iran flew by plane for the first time to meet Vasco da Gama, his favorite club. The trip, of course, resulted in posts on Instagram, such as the videos in which he appears eating pizza and fries for the first time in his life.

But not only Lula de Pedreiro’s accounts were successful. Iran was responsible for publishing the highest volume of interactions in the history of the Cruz-Maltino club’s profile on Instagram. On TikTok, the team reached the mark of 1 million followers, reaching 500 thousand in just 48 hours. The information is from MKT Esportivo, which monitors social networks of clubs and athletes. To get an idea, Vasco easily led the weekly interactions between Brazilian soccer teams on TikTok, ahead of teams like Flamengo and Corinthians, for example.
